NYC democratic primary

New York City . . . the city of dreams. It is April 2025, just three months before the NYC Democratic Primary Elections. The outcome of this election will not only influence the election for mayor, but will also send shockwaves throughout the country.

President Trump wants to ensure his grasp over the city. He stalks every twist and turn of this election, even taking unprecedented measures to interfere. The fate of the democratic party is at stake due to a new face in politics and the forerunner . . . Zohran Mamdani, a self-identified Democratic Socialist, who has many democrats hesitant to endorse him. Yet he has already garnered huge swaths of support, as well as criticism.

He is met by two fierce opponents: former governor Andrew Cuomo, and current mayor, Eric Adams. Both of these politicians have had numerous scandals, but they do have crucial connections and knowledge in the political gears of NYC – something that Mamdani lacks.

Can the old timers hold on to their titles and power or will they be swept by this new face in politics? Who will win the race for NYC?
